What is a Solar Credit?
A Solar Credit is the benefit you receive under your Solar Benefit Subscription when your linked solar project generates electricity. Each month, validated generation is converted into Solar Credits and posted to your account with a full calculation you can inspect.
A Solar Credit is
- • A subscription benefit measured in rupees
- • Calculated from real, validated generation data
- • Usable towards your electricity bill when you choose
- • Fully traceable — every posting shows how it was calculated
A Solar Credit is not
- • Not cash and not withdrawable as money
- • Not a deposit or balance in any bank-like account
- • Not interest or income from a financial product
- • Not guaranteed — it depends on actual generation
How a Solar Credit is calculated
Subscription Capacity → Eligible Generation (kWh) → Applicable Benefit Rate (₹/kWh) → Adjustments → Final Solar Credit
Example: 1.0 kW × 113 kWh eligible generation × ₹5/kWh − ₹0 adjustments = ₹565 Solar Credit for the month. Every posting in your portal includes this breakdown.
